Oil boiler plumbing and oil furnace air conditioning plumbing.

Chimney service, flue repairs, and liner installation.
 
A chimney should be inspected and cleaned once a year for safety reasons. A properly working chimney in conjunction with heating appliances plus flue piping that are also in good working order helps ensure that the dangerous products of combustion such as carbon monoxide are minimized and vented outside. The chimney must not be clogged or deteriorated. If the chimney is deteriorated it must be repaired and/or a liner installed.
 
Chimney liners are also installed on heating equipment where the manufacturer requires it. If your chimney is not sized accordingly to the heating appliances it has to vent, the exhaust may cool off and condensation may occur before the exhaust is vented out. This condensation is acidic in nature and causes to eat away at the chimney interior thereby weakening it. The walls inside the chimney may eventually collapse suddenly and block the exhaust. When a chimney gets blocked poisonous gas can seep into a residential home or commercial building undetected by the typical carbon monoxide sensor until it has reached a detectable level. All during this time carbon monoxide has already entered and accumulated in the bloodstream of its occupants.
 
 We install chimney liners where code requires it such as an exposed side of the chimney to the exterior. There are also times when a high efficiency heating appliance is installed and as it gets vented directly outside the effect on the hot water heater is not addressed as it becomes orphaned. This orphaned water heater would now need the appropriate liner where it did not before. The type of chimney liner that we install is of the stainless steel type for longevity. The chimney liner that comes with a rain cap with pest screen and the base connectors are made from heavy duty stainless steel material.
